Louis Comfort Tiffany was the creator of Tiffany art glass. Tiffany began creating beautiful art glass objects during the turn of the 20th century. They were very well known for creating spectacular stained glass windows and lamps. Over the years they made many other types of art glass items including bowls, glasses, vases, frames, vases, decanters and much more. Tiffany glass is usually multicolored or iridescent. The color may even look to be metallic.
Tiffany art glass may be signed in many different ways. Tiffany art glass may say Favrile, LCT, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Tiffany or Tiffany Studios. Tiffany items may be marked by one of these examples or a combination of them. Due to the iridescent color, the signature may be difficult to see.
